General Academic and Professional Studies
The focus of GAPS is on two interlinked themes; promoting and enabling
accessible and flexible modes of study and supporting the Universitys
Learning Teaching and Assessment Strategy (LTAS). This is achieved
through support for students, support for staff, and the provision
of innovative and experimental academic programmes. Specific GAPS
activities and products include the Caledonian Degree, work based
learning degrees, e-learning support and development, the work of
the academic practice unit and IT training for students and staff,
as well as running the Summer School, access activities and general
student induction.
