How do I set an alternative voicemail greeting?

To avoid lots of voicemail messages being left in your mailbox while you are away from the University use the voicemail equivalent of an out of office message, called an alternative greeting.

To use the alternative greeting feature, log onto your voicemail as normal and select option 4 for setup. Then select option 1 for greetings, then press 2 for alternate greeting.

The system will then take you through recording an alternative greeting and setting an end date for the greeting, i.e. the date you want it to revert to your normal greeting. In your recorded message, simply convey the information that you will be out of the office until whatever date and leave alternative contact details for urgent enquiries.
