Security Updates

Many viruses exploit flaws in the PCs Operating System. It is therefore good practice to regularly update your system with the latest security patches, at home and at work.

Within the University, we have adopted a system of automatic security update deployment. This enables us to keep University staff PCs up to date.

When new security updates for the operating system are released by Microsoft, staff machines are automatically patched.

You will see this message when patches have been installed:



It is very important that you restart your machine ASAP to complete the installation of the patches and secure your machine.
